Introduction Meme (Dewey's Read-a-thon)

Well, better late than never...:) Just got back from, of all things, book shopping!

Where are you reading from today?

Here in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

3 facts about me …

  1. My favorite author's Jane Austen.
  2. I teach as a passion and with a passion.
  3. I don't eat innards.:)
How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours?

I want to be flexible. I'm not setting a number of books to accomplish. I just want to see how many I can read.:)

Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)?

No specific goal, really. If anything, I'd like to meet new people and read more great blogs.

If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, Any advice for people doing this for the first time?

This is my first time. Any advice for me, veteran read-a-thoners?:)

Comments

Its nice to see a fellow non innards eater! ;)

Good luck with your reading today!

This is my first Read-a-Thon, so no advice from me, other than to have fun and enjoy yourself!

I think it's great that your goals are low-key and flexible! :D

I could do with some Philippines weather right now: it's snowing where I am! (The Rockies in Colorado)

Good luck! i don't eat innards, either!
I've only been a cheerleader for a Read-a-Thon, so no reading advice other than make sure you take a break once in awhile so you don't burn out. Good luck!

I read my first Jane Austen novel this year and am hooked! She's awesome. So witty.

Have fun with the read-a-thon.

I eat hot dogs (sometimes); I think there probably are innards in them. LOL.

I don't eat identifiable innards either (but I do love lechon sauce, hahaha). And I'm from the Philippines too! Manila, not QC though :)

Yeah flexibility is key i think. and i made meeting new blogs and bloggers a higher priority this time around--my forth--and i find it exhilarating and yawn banishing.

Read in joy

Thank you all so much for the encouragement. And even if I don't get to finish a lot of books, meeting all of you and discovering your blogs is reward enough for me.:)

Long live non-innards eaters!:)
