William Rycroft also left links to two of his former NYRB book reviews: Stoner by John Williams and The Book of Ebenezer Le Page by G.B. Edwards. Though technically not written during the reading week, we thought we'd link to it nevertheless, so you can read them, too.
Thank you to all who've participated so far, and we look forward to reading more from you and to reading from others, too. If you just stumbled upon our reading week now, it's not too late to join.
After reading these reviews, I think it's going to be difficult for us to choose just one favorite each to award our prize to. And speaking about prizes, a few updates about the raffle...
We're raffling off two books: The Wedding of Zein by Tayeb Salih and Soul of Wood by Jakov Lind. Everyone who's reviewed a book for the NYRB Reading Week is included in the raffle. So, these two books will go to two lucky reviewers. The mechanics are simple--we'll be putting your names in a hat or a box, then we'll pick two out.
But we also want to make sure that you get a book that you want so, if you're eligible for the raffle, please leave a comment below here or in Mrs. B's post indicating which book you'd like to receive should you win the raffle. You can also state that you'd be comfortable receiving either book. If we don't receive a comment from you, then we'll just assume you're ok with either.
My co-host and I will be meeting on the 15th of November to pick the winners of all prizes. That includes our prizes for best reviews, best NYRB photo, and, of course, the two raffle winners. Then, we will be announcing all prize winners on the 16th.
Again, our NYRB Reading Week will end on the 13th still, so go ahead and leave links to your reviews and NYRB photos in our comments section until then. Submission of all entries will close at the close of the reading week. By the way, if you're on Twitter, feel free to use the hashtag #nyrbreadingweek to tweet about your reviews or other related stuff.
In the meantime, go ahead and read all those wonderful reviews above.

Thanks again for this extraordinary journey in reading. :)
What an amazing coincidence. William Rycroft and I went to school together in the UK many years ago. Two schools, in fact. The first closed down and many of us moved to another. He was, even back then, a very smart guy.
Here's my offereing: a review of John Wyndham's The Chrysalids, one of the few sci-fi offerings in the NYRB series.
